Cuddle the alpacas at the alpaca farm in Vorstenbosch
A wonderful day out, with or without the kids. You can walk around with alpacas on the alpaca farm and cuddle them, and more activities are always being added! Highly recommended if you love animals and nature. And who doesn’t love alpacas?

Pier15 Skatepark
The industrial district of Belcrum in Breda is where you will find PIER15. This skatepark has developed into a hip urban hotspot where young and old come together. You don’t have to be a skater to come here, everyone is welcome. In the summer months, you can drink a delicious speciality beer on the patio and look out over the skating track where the skaters do their tricks. Festivals with live music or DJs are also organised here regularly.

Fun on the water: canoing on river Dommel
The river Dommel starts somewhere in Belgium, not far from the border. It enters the Netherlands at Schaft in North Brabant and then slowly drops 25 metres to the sea. In other words, the charm of a canoe trip on this water is not braving huge waterfalls, but the smooth journey, meandering through nature reserve De Malpie. You won't find that anywhere else. Along the banks you will see the reeds, fields, heather & cows. Easy going, just like the people of Brabant!

Berlicum Camel dairy
A pleasant and welcoming place with friendly staff. You can do all kinds of things: get a guided tour of the company, bottle feed baby camels, stroke camels, bake camel milk pancakes, taste camel milk, have a drink or a bite to eat. The camels are very accessible, a fun activity for all ages.

‘t Heusdens IJshuys
My kids love visiting the fortified town of Heusden. Not least because of the delicious ice cream we traditionally get at 't Heusdens IJshuys. Always yummy!

Graffiti Berenkuil & Sectie-C in Eindhoven
Eindhoven has great murals such as an impressive bird at Strijp-S, and a skeleton at Studio Giftig on the Nieuwe Emmasingel, but there is also Berenkuil, a roundabout with plenty of room for graffiti in the middle. The entire roundabout is given a fresh coat of graffiti art during the annual 'Step In The Arena’ event. Sectie-C also has a mural with a bird. It’s a little further from the centre, but you can combine your visit with a dinner there.

A day out at Kempervennen
Enjoy a wonderful walk outdoors, the atmospheric Market Dome or the tropical heat of the leisure pool. If you are a skiing or snowboarding fanatic, go to the nearby Snowcenter.

Holy Moly Breda
When in Breda, you must go to Holy Moly. As you step inside, you soon discover that it is not your average restaurant. You find yourself in a magical, enchanting world. Magdalena Moly tells you the story of the theatre boss, Holy Moly (her husband), and the mysteries that have taken place in this once extremely successful theatre. During the Trip, you explore the 17 rooms and get to know more about what took place behind the screens. It is highly recommended for all ages.

Dierenrijk Animal Kingdom Nuenen
Dierenrijk Animal Kingdom Nuenen: A lovely animal park in Nuenen, close to Eindhoven. The animals can be seen from (fairly) close by and there are shows featuring elephants and penguins. Play equipment for the children can be found all around the park, which is also great for birthday parties, team outings or family days.
