Light art
Light is inextricably linked with North Brabant thanks to electro-giant Philips and master painter Vincent van Gogh. But what is light actually and how does colour work? In Nuenen, near Eindhoven, children are able to experiment with the effects of light and colour at Vincent’s LightLab in the Van Gogh Village Museum. Afterwards, follow the luminous Van Gogh-Roosegaarde Cycle Path towards the city. Eindhoven has many light art installations to admire, such as the 90-metre-long artwork called ‘Space’ at Central Station. For an unforgettable light spectacle, visit the city between 11 and 18 November during the annual light art festival GLOW, which transforms Eindhoven into an outdoor museum of light art.
